CaDance Festival: The Bone Algorithm (fragment)
Embodied Feedback: Dancers Shaping Sound in a Living Instrument
The Bone Algorithm is an interdisciplinary performance set inside a spatial musical instrument of wires and pendulums. Dancers from OFFprojects navigate this fluctuating landscape, where every movement alters the generated sound and vice versa, creating a feedback loop of cause and effect. The electro-acoustic installation is driven by both dancer actions and computer impulses, taking the audience on a journey from digital to analog and from code to intuition. Presented as an intimate fragment in Amare’s Black Box studio, the performance concludes with an opportunity for the audience to explore the instrument themselves.
